Abstracts received after the deadline will not be accepted.
The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.
Please note that abstract content may be edited at the discretion of the
Organizing Committee.
Also, entries for ISCBM Travel Award and Niels Lassen Young Investigator
Award will be available through the abstract submission.

Rules for submission to Brain'07 & BrainPET'07
- Abstracts may be submitted to BrainPET'07 if the work is mainly basic and methodological, but submit to Brain'07 if the work with PET is more clinical. However, the Scientific Program Committee will finally determine the category of the submission based on the content of the work.
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university scientific publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission.
- The Scientific Program Committee will review abstracts and information regarding acceptance and scheduling will be sent to the corresponding author.
Guidelines for Submission
Before you begin, please prepare the following information:
- Presenting author's contact details; include full mailing address, office hours phone number and email address.
- Presentation type preference (Invited Talk Only / Regular Oral or Poster / Poster Only / No Preference)
- Author or authors' names: full first name, family name
- Affiliation details of all authors: department; institution / hospital; city; state (if relevant); country
- Abstract title (limited to 20 words) in UPPER CASE
- Tables or graphs which you wish to include in the abstract. Images should be submitted in JPG/BMP format, maximum width 13cm, maximum height 18cm, and resolution of up to 150dpi. Click here for more guidelines.
- Abstract text: limited to 500 words (fewer if a figure is included in the abstract)
We recommend using word-processing software (for example Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words. Typing your text directly into the field is not recommended:
a: You will not be able to see the abstract after pressing the Submit button
b: You will not have a copy
c: You cannot check the number of words

- Please note that BrainPET is the place for presenting new methodology for PET studies of the brain. The Organizing Committee warmly welcomes submission of your recent work on PET methodology to BrainPET'07
- Awards: Regular bursaries for young scientists (less than 35 years old) are available depending on the score of the abstract.Please notify your request of bursary on abstract submission. ID card or similar may be required to show when you check in at Brain'07 and Brain'07desk on next May at Osaka. In this meeting, abstract submission from Asia, east Europe, Mid-South America, or Africa is also welcome. For this purpose, the local organizing committee will provide another bursaries for young scientists specific from the countries other than developed countries (EU, North America, Australia-New Zealand and Japan).
- Posters will be on display throughout the meeting.
Each poster will be serially presented in a few minutes on 13:10-14:10 each day.
